Michelle McIntoshMichelle graduated with a Diploma in Occupational Therapy from the Otago Polytechnic in 1994. After a short period practicing in Southland hospital, overseas travel beckoned and she worked for several years in various physical rehabilitation positions in North America, England and Wales.

On returning to New Zealand, she worked for 6 years as community occupational therapist for the Taranaki District Health Board (16+ years - physical disability). This included a clinical specialist role in the area of complex seating/wheelchairs. Further study in 2000 saw her graduate with her bachelor's degree in occupational therapy.

Following maternity leave, she returned to the DHB where she worked for one year as a specialist occupational therapist to implement occupational therapy services to the ACC contracts of Graduated Return to Work and Social Rehabilitation.

In 2004, along with physiotherapist Amanda Pearse, she established Therapy Works Ltd - a private company specialising in occupational health. Together they have built a highly respected reputation for providing quality vocational rehabilitation services which remains their continuing objective.
